IWK Women’s Health Research Survey

IWK survey women's health image

A research team at IWK Health is conducting a Priority Setting Partnership (PSP) study to better understand which questions matter most in the area of women+ health in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. Many important health issues affecting women+ have not been fully studied, and priorities may differ based on people’s lived experiences, roles, and communities. This study aims to ensure that future health research reflects the needs and perspectives of those it is meant to serve.

About the study

This study brings together women+ with lived experience, caregivers, members of the public, healthcare providers, researchers, and policymakers to collaboratively identify the most important unanswered research questions related to women+ health in the Maritimes.

Women+ refers to women and all individuals who may experience health issues associated with women’s health, including but not limited to cisgender women, transgender men, non-binary, Two-Spirit, and gender-diverse people who have a uterus or may experience women+ health related concerns across their life.

Who can participate

Conditions for eligibility include:

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Live in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Prince Edward Island
  • Are a person with lived experience, caregiver, member of the public, healthcare provider, researcher, or policymaker with an interest in women+ health

What participation involves

Participation consists of completing a brief online survey. Participants will be asked to share their views on important research priorities related to women+ health and provide basic demographic information (e.g., province, sex, gender). Participation is voluntary, and participants may stop at any time.
